Gohan-ya Isshin Kyoto

The food was delicious, but the customer service was disappointing overall. I had made a reservation starting at 8 pm, so I didn't mind if some items were out of stock, but the store staff didn't know about it, and I was told that it wasn't available until a while after I ordered it. , I said it wasn't there, then said it was...Since the kitchen is in an open area, I wondered if it could be shared in real time... Also, I understand that you want to collect the tableware as soon as possible after the last order is finished to prepare for closing, but the moment the plate is empty, it is silently lowered, and no, there is still food in my mouth. But...I felt very uncomfortable. It may be that the only people who receive this kind of customer service are the employees who were working when I came this time, but I thought it was a Kyoto-like store in a bad way.

Came here for lunch on a weekday over the summer and it was busy packed, even before it was open. Luckily both my mom and I were able to be seated in the restaurant and cool down from the Kyoto heat. This was our first dining experience in Kyoto where we had to take off our shoes and walk through the restaurant with our socks. So if you plan on visiting this place, dress accordingly. I enjoyed the interior decor, everything was brightly lit even though there's no windows. The wooden furniture and accents complement the restaurant as a whole and it really makes the interior very welcoming and homey. I ordered the braised pork belly and my mom ordered the grilled mackerel. Each order you place will come with a edobitsu, which is essentially a traditional rice container that absorbs excess moisture. You will just scoop whoever much rice you want to eat onto your own bowl once your food arrives. As far as the food goes, it's decent but nothing too extravagant. I wanted to try it on the basis of someone's recommendation but it's something of an experience. Perhaps I would go back and try something else because I think I may have gotten freaked out by all the fat on the pork belly that I didn't enjoy the meal as much.

I've used it several times over the past few years. I'm happy because I can eat delicious set meals at a good price for lunch. At night, each item costs a little more, so if you eat to your heart's content, it will be quite expensive. (Less than 10,000 yen for 2 people without alcohol) The atmosphere inside the store was good, and although I went there for the first time in a while, the customer service from the staff was particularly good. The hall is run by young staff members. I got the impression that many of them were very attentive to the timing of ordering, etc., and that many of them had bright and kind faces.◎ The braised pork was really melty~◎ But before, the soup was smooth, but this time it was thick and jelly-like. Temperature issue? Maybe it has changed since I haven't been here for a while? "French fries with sour cream" is Personally, I thought that the sour cream (not mentioned in the name) was quite overpowered by the basil sauce, so it could be done without either. The freshly cooked glossy rice is also delicious. I will go again ♩

The interior of the restaurant is neither too bright nor too dark, and the tables are lit with pin lights, so the food looks delicious!! The braised pork and sea bream rice🍚 were exquisite☺ I would have liked the sashimi platter to be a little more filling. The staff was polite and I had a pleasant meal.
